THE Wolves player at the centre of a drug scandal appeared before a Rugby Football League hearing on Tuesday.
It was revealed that a player had failed a drugs test three weeks ago, but both the League and the Wolves are refusing to reveal which player is involved or what type of substance is involved.
Speaking on Tuesday, John Huxley of the Rugby Football League, said: "I can confirm that there was a hearing today involving a Warrington Wolves player and that this has been adjourned until a later date."
When the news of the failed drugs test first broke, Mr Huxley told the Guardian: "The investigation will be open-ended."
"A sample is tested and if it fails, the person involved is given the option to accept it or ask for the second half of the sample to be tested. Then the results are submitted to a hearing."
At the same time, Warrington Wolves coach Darryl Van de Velde, issued a statement on behalf of the club.
He said: "We will not be commenting any further on this issue until the investigation has been completed."
