TV PERSONALITY Sue Lawley dropped into Berryhill Retirement Village in Stoke-on-Trent the model for Ryfields last week to record a lecture on ageing.
The Desert Island Discs presenter visited the village to record a BBC Radio 4 Reith Lecture given by Tom Kirkwood, Professor of Medicine and Head of Gerontology at the University of Newcastle and was attended by over 30 residents from the Berryhill community.
The Berryhill Reith lecture will be broadcast on BBC Radio 4, 92-95FM and 198LW at 8pm on Wednesday, April 25. The programme will be repeated on Saturday, April 28 at 10.15pm.
