STUDENTS from Warrington Collegiate Institute got in the swim to raise cash for children's charity Barnardo's.
The charity champions, who all have learning difficulties and are taking part in a vocational access course, did numerous laps of the pool at the David Lloyd Sports Centre last Friday.
The centre gave them free use of the facilities for their sponsored swimathon.
And the day wasn't just about raising cash.
Tutor Eileen Owen said: "The groups learn so much when planning and taking part in fundraising activities like this, such as team building skills."
The group are now collecting in their cash which will be handed over to Barnardo's at a special prize-giving ceremony at Blackburn Rovers Football Club in May.
