YOUNG and old took part in a charity swimathon organised by the Rotary Club of Northwich - which has raised more than £10,080.
Some 41 teams took part at Moss Farm swimming pool, with 232 swimmers varying from novices to club class swimmers and aged from five to 65 years.
Teams included companies, clubs, schools, families and friends.
The fastest team achieved 150 lengths in 55 minutes and a total of 4,503 lengths were accumulated by all the teams which is the equivalent of 70 miles.
A target of £10,000 was set but that figure has already been passed with a couple of teams yet to declare their total.
The money is going to the Macmillan Nurses, Cheshire Carers Centre, Northwich Samaritans and Rotary charities.
And the Rotary Club of Northwich wants to thank everyone for their support.
