SAVING waste has given cash boosts to two schools in Winsford.
St John's Primary on Delamere Street and Handley Hill Primary on Beeston Drive both received £200 for taking part in the borough council's 'Cash for Schools Environment Scheme' which has been running since last April - with the council donating £1 for every tonne of waste paper collected.
Two other schools in the borough received cash prizes and over £700 was also raised for the Vale Royal Mayor's Charity Appeal - for Vale Royal CVS and the Children's Neurological Ward at Walton Hospital.
