A MIDDLEWICH mum is hoping to create 20 jobs after plans for a new day nursery at Biskey Howe were approved.

Gaynor Bonwick, who has two children, is hoping to cater for up to 45 children, ranging from babies to four-year-olds.

The main nursery, on Booth Lane, will operate during the week from 7.30am until 6.30pm but there are also plans to use the building during evenings and weekends for activities such as baby aromatherapy and massage and parenting classes.

Part of the garden will be surrounded by a safety fence and used as an outdoor play area with another section covered with a canopy so the children can play outside in bad weather.

Gaynor said: "Obviously I'm extremely pleased that the plans have gone through first time, it's been in planning for a long time.

"I'm still shocked that it's going to be all systems go. We are hoping to open in August or September.

"Obviously this will create plenty of jobs and as far as I am concerned the more local people we can employ the better."
