TOWN councillors are urging Middlewich residents to have pride in their town.
Middlewich is being entered into the Civic Pride competition, which recognises environmental improvements and general cleanliness in towns.
Town Mayor Clr Dave Sutton said: "In last year's competition the judges really picked up on the litter so this year we want to get the public involved."
This year's entry into the competition will be discussed at an open meeting on April 24 at the Civic Building.
Jonathan Williams, Middlewich town clerk, said: "Civic Pride isn't just about a competition, it's something that should be in all of us."
The competition judges will make a preliminary visit to the town in April with the main event being judged in June.
