CHESHIRE Dance Workshop, which is based at Winsford Library, has had a cash boost to the tune of £1,500.
The money, donated by the Lloyds TSB Foundation, will help the dance team deliver workshops in schools, youth clubs, community centres libraries and day care centres throughout the county.
The charity also brings professional touring dance companies to the area to perform in a number of community venues.
Adam Holloway, business director for Cheshire Dance Workshop, said: "This donation is a wonderful surprise. Thanks to this money we can continue to help local people to make positive changes to their everyday lives."
The funding will go toward a formal training course to help set up new dance groups.
Branch manager at Lloyds TSB in Winsford Stephen Williams said: "Cheshire Dance Workshop is such a valuable local resource and one which we are pleased to support."
