THE OWNER of a Winsford nightclub wants to assure clubgoers that the town is a safe place to come for a good night out.
Damon Horrill, who owns DB's, felt that a witness appeal in last week's Guardian may have given the impression that Winsford is unsafe at weekends.
Three men had been set upon by a group of youths near the club as they were waiting for a taxi.
Mr Horrill, who also owns Middlewich's Cats Bar, said: "From a positive point of view we have been discussing over the last five years measures to ensure the safety of the people who want to drink in Winsford.
"Winsford has been put on the map as a town with a decent nightlife and decent facilities with large amounts of investment.
"These are absolute truths and anybody who comes to the club will know that."
