THE top two in the fist division of the Northwich & District Pool League both won last week, with leaders Winnington Park beating Owley Wood 5-2.
However, Rudheath reduced their lead by two points as they whitewashed Coachman 7-0. Another performance like that in their game in hand on Winnington could make the title race very tight.
Barnton BL continued their impressive late run with a 5-2 win over Thatched Tavern and Gladstone moved up three places after defeating Green Dragon A 4-3.
In Division Two, Blue Barrel are looking good for going up as champions after they saw off second placed Farmers Arms and third placed Green Dragon B lost to Gladstone B.
White Barn moved into contention for the runners-up spot with a 6-1 victory over Beech Tree and Lavins lifted themselves off the bottom with a 4-3 win at the expense of Barn Owl B.
