PROTESTERS who are planning to take to the streets in a mass rally against development in south Warrington want to show Town Hall bosses how out of place three storey homes can look.
They have superimposed photographs of houses on Cherry Lane in Lymm on to the Town Hall gardens, Risley Moss and Victoria Park, which they see as three of the council's most precious sites.
Andrew Wilson, one of the organisers of the protest which takes place at the town hall on Saturday April 28, at 11am, has sent out almost 9,000 leaflets to disgruntled residents in Grappenhall, Thelwall, Stockton Heath, Lymm and Appleton to encourage them to take part.
Andrew said: "The people of south Warrington are sick of having to defend their communities from the onslaught of over dense, three storey, out of keeping developments."
He wants the council to listen to local people and village design groups set up to protect villages from unsuitable schemes, and will be canvassing on Lymm Cross this Saturday, April 21 to drum up more support between 9am and 2pm.
