A CONFERENCE aimed at those wrongly accused of sex crimes is to take place in Warrington this weekend.
The event has been organised by FACT, Falsely Accused Carers and Teachers, and takes place on Saturday at Bold Street Methodist Mission.
Speakers include a social worker who was accused, a criminologist from Reading University who will talk about erroneous investigative procedures, and a journalist from the Catholic Herald who will refer to anonymity and the presumption of innocence.
Others present will include a host of solicitors and barristers concerned with these type of cases.
