EMERGENCY crews were called to the M6 near Lymm on Tuesday evening after a car and two HGVs collided.
The accident happened shortly before 5pm when the vehicles were approaching roadworks and the car became sandwiched between the lorries.
No-one was badly hurt in the crash, though two adults and two children were treated at the scene for bruising and shock.
"They were lucky to get out of the car," said a fire brigade spokesman.
