ANOTHER bank holiday weekend, another mile-long tailback on the M62 as tens of thousands of people from across the region decide to go to Gemini Retail Park.
If any of them do happen to be reading this letter, spare a thought for us poor Warrington folk who have to go about our daily business while trying to manouvre past giant traffic jams, broken down cars, bad drivers who shoot through the traffic lights and block junctions, and 'fine weather motorists' who dawdle along admiring the scenery.
Half of you, ie the pensioners and those who don't work, could come to Gemini any day of the week, and the rest of you are just as miserable as me sitting in a traffic jam, so why not stay away on what is obviously going to be one of the busiest days of the year?
I never thought I'd have a good word to say about the Labour government, but thank God they gave junction eight the go-ahead. I just wish they'd hurry up and build it.
