I HEARTILY agree with B S Moore's letter regarding Warrington's 'Reputation for being dirty' (Points of View, April 5).
Having moved back to Warrington after 17 years, I am amazed at the rubbish strewn streets and hedges in and around the town.
I have lived in various parts of England and can honestly say that Warrington's streets are the worst for litter.
While the Council could do more, surely more could be expected from the proprietors of fast-food outlets by providing more receptacles for the packages that litter our streets.
But equally important, the public should realise that the litter does not deposit itself!
So, come on folks, let public and civic pride be foremost, to rid the town of its unwelcome reputation.
