A great piece of news for the people of Knutsford.
The millennium tapestry has been completed after four years of commitment from Sue Newhouse and 3,000 people stitching about six and a half million stitches.
The wonderful piece of art was unveiled at the civic centre.
But with the wonders of the modern press we didn't need a town crier to announce this momentous news .. or did we?
Where were the Knutsford Guardian reporters as this special event took place?
Many people were disappointed by their absence.
Shame on you for letting this event pass unrecorded.
