Keighley Albion...14
Crosfields...19
CROSFIELDS resumed National Conference League Division Two promotion contention with this hard-fought win over fourth placed Keighley.
After being rocked when Keighley took the lead with two early tries Crosfields stepped up a gear with some strong running by forwards Barry Lowe and man of the match Paul Clark. Clark scored in the corner.
Two minutes later outstanding scrum half David Gibbons collected his own kick through, rounded the full back and scored.
On half-time Crosfields winger Fraser Linekar finished off a nice set move which was created by Gibbons, to score in the corner.
Keighley's full back capitalised on a wayward pass to equalise at 14-14.
Crosfields dominated the second half but could only find the white-wash once when winger Andy Holroyd scored.
With 10 minutes remaining Gibbons increased their lead with a drop goal.
This Saturday Crosfields are at home to Castleford Panthers, kick-off 2.30pm.
