Warrington Wolves Academy...12
Leeds Rhinos Academy...50
AFTER good victories in their opening two games the young Wolves were completely overwhelmed by a Leeds side, who it must be said were not as strong as previous Leeds Academy teams but were far superior to a very disappointing Warrington side.
Leeds opened the scoring on seven minutes with a converted try, but eight minutes later Warrington were level.
A well placed grubber kick from Jimmy Williams over the Leeds try-line was pounced on by Steve Maden for a try.
Jimmy Williams converted to make the score 6-6.
After that it was all downhill for Warrington as Leeds raced, with ease, into a 28-6 lead at half-time.
The visitors continued to dominate and on 70 minutes they were 50-6 in front having scored 10 tries with five of them converted.
Warrington completed the scoring when Jimmy Williams forced his way over from a play-the-ball close to the Leeds line and the same player converted to make the final score 50-12.
