SHOW CHARACTER TO SHARE POINTS
KNYPERSLEY Vics put last week's thrashing behind them with two valuable points out of their Easter fixtures.
A rousing 2-2 draw at Halesowen Harriers on Saturday was followed by a 1-1 result at home to Stafford Town on Monday.
With an injury to regular keeper Dalloway and emergency signing Grange AWOL, veteran striker Mick Biddle put the gloves on.
Vics took the game to their hosts and on 10 minutes a move on the left saw James rifle in a shot which deflected into the path of Atkinson who finished in style.
Five minutes later it was that man again who saw home Shallcross's superb ball for a 2-0 interval lead.
Clarke pulled one back for Halesowen just two minutes after the break through a controversial quickly taken free-kick.
Both Shallcross and Rai saw red after an altercation and the home side got a cruel late leveller on 86 minutes.
Grange was between the sticks for Monday's clash as Stafford applied the early pressure.
But Knypersley should have taken the lead on 36 minutes as a neat move on the left saw Redgate race towards goal only to strike straight into the keeper's hands.
Two minutes later, Stafford made them pay as Dematteo pounced on a defensive mistake and rifled home.
Vics were much more determined after the break and pressure told on 65 minutes as Kevin Burndred netted from close range.
Shallcross, John Burndred and Redgate all had chances to wrap up victory as the Vics were rampant but none were taken.
*Vics are due at Cradley Town on Tuesday, April 24, although it could yet be switched to Tunstall Road.
