BUYERS are being sought for a loss-making rural pub which has closed its doors.
Numerous part-time staff and a number of full-timers lost their jobs following the closure of The Fox Inn at Rushton Spencer.
The business went into voluntary liquidation, and the directors have apppointed Stoke on Trent accountants KPMG as liquidators.
A meeting of creditors was held last week at Festival Park, and the business is up for sale as a pub, hotel and restaurant.
The pub is understood to have suffered continuing losses, which were made worse by a further drop in trade as a result of the foot and mouth crisis.
