Jen Lace, who has worked part-time at Tiffany's for 11 years, has bought the card shop business with husband Allan.

Speaking to the Knutsford Guardian yesterday (Tuesday), she said she was excited about the future.

"Hopefully in 12 months we will have decided that this was a good idea," she said.

"I am enjoying it, but I went in right at the deep end because I took over the week before Easter."

Tiffany's, which has a second branch in Holmes Chapel, was put on the market in January.

Former owner Richard Cussons announced he was giving up the business to become a theology teacher after 12 years.

Mrs Lace said the business had become a family affair. "My daughters have both worked here, my son is working at the weekends and we have taken on a new manageress who is my niece," she said.

Mrs Lace, whose husband is a staff manager at Ilford's, said there would be few changes at the shop which saw an increase in profit and turnover last year.
