A BRAND new state of the art Ambulance has boosted the borough's fleet.
The keys were officially handed over last week by Crewe and Nantwich MP, Gwyneth Dunwoody.
The new front line ambulance is part of a fleet of 19 being deployed throughout Merseyside and Cheshire.
The vehicle is intended to be safer and has a new engine, new reflective markings and several interior enhancements.
The ambulance is also fitted with what is known as the Genius system which manages many of the facilities of the vehicle, including the blue lights, sirens and flashing headlights.
Costing £50,000 the ambulance has replaced one other in the fleet and is on lease for five years.
