BIG hitting Kevin Waterhouse smashed a memorable 92 off just 48 balls for Congleton in their league opener on Saturday.
His total included eight sixes and three fours, and he and Rowan Kitton took the score from 78 to 169 in just 13 overs.
Congleton opened with 188 for eight declared at home to Tattenhall, who turned to defence after being reduced to two for two.
The visitors ended on 98 for seven to earn six points to 16 for Congleton.
Congleton were struggling at 78 for four before the arrival of Waterhouse, Kitton playing a supporting role with 29.
Adrian Dale hit 41, and the match saw the debut for new signing Tom Atkinson.
Colin Mountford took three for 12, and Cain Mawby claimed two for 33.
