YOUNG cadet sergeant Jenny Bounford enjoyed taking the wheel of an RAF fire engine.
The 15-year-old was shown how to drive fire engines on a runway as part of an Easter Camp at RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus.
Jenny is a member of the 2493 Alsager Squadron, and a pupil at Alsager School.
She was offered the chance to spend two weeks on the island with fellow members of the Air Training Corps from around the country.
Among the highlights were a flight in a Wessex helicopter and a visit to the station fire brigade.
"The firemen showed us how to drive the fire engines on the runway, and even let us have a go," said Jenny.
"It was great, and I would definitely go again if I could."
