GENEROUS Congleton shoppers have been thanked for their support for a charity collection.
The Marie Curie Daffodil Campaign raised more than £1,000 from supermarket and street collections held in the town.
That total was boosted to £1,500 by the sale of silk daffodils at shops, pubs, offices and schools.
"Staff at Safeway in Congleton have given Marie Curie continual support over many Daffodil Campaigns," said community fund-raising manager Jane Wilkinson.
"We also want to thank our volunteer co-ordinators and their teams.
"The money raised will help fund the local Marie Curie nurses, who give free practical nursing care to people with cancer in their own homes."
