Crosfields...47

Castleford Panthers...12

CROSFIELDS only won this game in the second half with the first being riddled with errors.

After Castleford opened the scoring, Soap replied when Terry Reid scattered their defence with a powerful run over the white wash.

Five minutes later Castleford regained the lead but centre Russ Parkman, from a tremendous run from his own half, went over in the corner and it was 10-10.

Thirty minutes into the game Parkman made another powerful run and was well backed up by Dave Gibbons who finished off by side-stepping the full back to score.

Five minutes into the second half centre Ian Hannon increased the lead for Crosfields when scoring in the corner.

Two minutes later a drop goal by man of the match Redmond increased their lead.

Crosfields' winger Fraser Linekar scored in the other corner.

A quarter of an hour into the second half a tremendous break by winger Lee Smith, from half way, was backed up by Hannon who scored his second try.

Matt Mahoney, Carl Porter went on to extend Soap's lead and Gibbons grabbed a second.

Crosfields, still aiming for promotion, have their next home game against top of the league Hull Dockers, a week on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.
