Warrington Town...4
Castleton Gabriels...0
WARRINGTON gave a further boost to their promotion prospects in the North West Counties League second division after cantering to victory against lowly Castleton at Cantilever Park on Saturday.
Town completed their home programme with a game notable for a four-goal tally by striker Chris Moores.
The three points were in the bag within the opening 11 minutes after Moores had twice hit the target. He completed his hat-trick before half-time and in a much slower second half Moores ensure Town finished in style with an angled effort.
Moores had been unable to claim a regular slot in the side but returned after a hand injury, taking full advantage of his selection in place of Neil Holden, who competed in the London Marathon on Sunday.
Town: McCormack, Moore, Cartledge, Callaghan (Blair: 80mins), Pick, Preidt, Tague, Tickle, Heverin (Chadwick 46mins), Moores, Hives.
