THE sweet taste of success had extra sugar for Wolves full back Alan Hunte.

Not only was he involved with inflicting an embarrassing victory on his old club but he also scored a hat-trick.

He said: "After the start to the season that we had it is nice to be on a bit of a roll now.

"But there are still things we have got to work on in training because there were plenty of mistakes out there. So there is room for lots of improvement.

"But it's confidence building because St. Helens are a big team and they've got championship depth and a quality squad.

"But we know it doesn't get any easier as we have Bradford next."

Hunte's old wing ally at Saints, Anthony Sullivan, handed Warrington two tries on a plate but Hunte revealed that once the chink in Saints' armour was located they exploited it whenever they could.

Hunte said: "We've all had games like that. With Anthony's first touch he made a mistake and it is tough from then on.

"Without going out to really target him once a player makes a mistake like that we say between ourselves, the next time we are going to kick the ball kick it to him.

"But it wasn't all down to him. It was the Warrington lads who won the game rather than the St. Helens players who lost it."
