RESIDENTS are calling for action to ease speeding and parking headaches near their homes.
Some 11 people from Cross Lane and Sheldon Avenue in Congleton have signed a petition to draw attention to parking and access problems in both streets.
A further 19 villagers from Davenport have put their names to a petition expressing concern about the speed of cars using the A54 near their homes.
They are asking for an extension of the 50 miles an hour limit which was recently introduced further along the A54.
Both sites have been placed on the borough council's traffic regulation order list with a view to assessing them for possible action.
