DO you remember how the original Glenn Miller orchestra looked and performed during their stay in the UK in 1944?
If not, a visit to Winsford Civic Hall next weekend may refresh your memory.
The Glenn Miller Tribute Orchestra will be performing a one-night show on Sunday, May 13 featuring all the band's hits including Moonlight Serenade, In the Mood, Little Brown Jug and Tuxedo Junction - to name just a few.
The orchestra consists of young musicians dressed in full GI uniform led by Andy Wood, who not only looks like Glenn Miller, but also plays the trombone.
All of the music parts are original transcriptions of Glenn Miller's 1940s music - exactly as it was in England more than 50 years ago, and the band desk are replicas of the original SHAEF-style desks used by Miller during the war.
The show starts at 8pm and tickets for the event, priced £12.50 or £10.50 for concessions, are available from Leisure Services at Vale Royal Borough Council on 01606 867539 or Gray Travel in Northwich.
