A FUND-RAISING event held in aid of the charity Across Mid Cheshire has been hailed as a great success.
The charity that helps local sick and disabled people enjoy a better quality of life, used the event at Somerfields to raise money for a scheme that takes the disabled people on holidays all over the world.
This will be the third year that the holidays have taken place and Sue Bailey, a charity fund-raiser, said that it is a chance for disabled 'VIPs' to experience something they wouldn't normally be able to.
She said: "We take a full medical team and each VIP has a one-to-one able bodied helper who goes everywhere with them.
"In the first year we went to Rome and last year we went to EuroDisney and Austria."
"Our next trip will be to Lourdes on October 19 and we have also arranged a holiday next August to Salou in Spain."
There are vacancies for both trips and anyone interested in applying should telephone Sue on 01606 834264 or her colleague Tim Hough on 01606 836786.
