POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a Middlewich woman was subjected to a serious sexual assault.
The victim, a white woman in her 40s, was attacked on the grassed area on the corner of Wardle Mews and Booth Lane on Saturday, April 10 between 9.40pm and 10pm.
The male offender, who may have been waiting at a bus stop on Booth Lane, is described as white and could have been wearing a white, long sleeve shirt and dark trousers.
Police are asking anyone who may have seen the incident or the man or woman before the attack to ring them on 01244 613545.
