CONGLETON Scouts due to jet out to America and Thailand for the trips of a lifetime have met the borough mayor.
Andrew Brown and Paul Garbett are to attend the Boy Scouts of America national Jamboree in July.
In addition Laura Hill, Naomi Wilkinson and Craig Wolfenden have been chosen to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Thailand in 2002.
The trio raised £160 towards the cost of the trip with a car wash at their HQ in Worrall Street.
They plan to repeat it on the first weekend of each month, with the next session tomorrow from 10am to 3pm.
The mayor, Cllr Ray Lowe, met the Scouts in the Mayor's Parlour at Congleton Town Hall, and told them about the traditions of the office.
