WARRINGTON'S airwaves will be 'fused' on Tuesday with the sound of the latest radio station to come to the town.
Four second year students at Padgate Campus will be launching 87.7 Fused FM a special 48-hour radio transmission starting at midnight on Monday as part of their media and radio production course.
Joanne Davies, Lisa Crawford, Alan Galpin and Rebecca Waters have had just two weeks station managers to organise the brief but hectic two-day broadcast schedule.
In that time they have lined up a crack squad of presenters to keep the airwaves crackling with entertainment for the broadcast, which will run for 48 hours non-stop and without adverts.
A variety of shows have been created, including an '80s hour, a breakfast show and indie and dance shows - some of which will be pre-recorded.
Requests can be made on the show's dedicated website - www.fused.org.uk - during the station's special request show.
