A CULCHETH man has been given one of the top titles within the Scouting movement.
Eddie Johnson, who is currently district commissioner for Warrington East, has been appointed county commissioner for Scouts for Cheshire by the Chief Scout George Purdy. Eddie, aged 59, will take up the promotion in June.
The voluntary appointment carries with it the overall responsibility for the leadership of the Scout Movement in Cheshire with 10,500 members in 176 Scout groups across 11 districts.
