DIGNITARIES from as far afield as the Czech Republic and Brazil turned up to celebrate Clr Sheila Woodyatt's 12 months as the town's mayor.
More than 150 guests, including civil heads from across Cheshire attended the Mayor's Ball at the Parr Hall on Friday night.
Themed 'A Touch of Gold' the event was held to raise money for the Mayor's charity, the chain link appeal, and a raffle at the event raised an extra £800 for the fund.
The event was attended Joao Paulo Lima E Silva, Mayor of Recife in Brazil and Mr Lubomir Smida, Chief Executive of the Nachod region of Brazil.
Mayor Sheila Woodyatt said: "It was a lovely evening, everyone there really enjoyed it."
Clr Jeff Richards will take over as mayor and his wife Julie will be mayoress after the election in June.
