A TRIO of Warrington women are stepping out on the streets of London in aid of Breast Cancer Research.
The three trekkers all work at Fearnhead Medical Centre, Gaynor Fitzpatrick is practice administrator, Pat Bate is a receptionist and Sue Plumbley is secretary.
They are all taking part in Walk the Walk, a marathon-length hike at midnight which is recognisable by the decorated bras participants wear for the event. Pat, Gaynor and her daughter and sister took on the challenge last year, and a host of fellow staff members and their families have already started the fundraising by taking a 10 mile sponsored stroll around Croft and Culcheth.
The women collected £1,108 for the worthy cause last year and hope to beat that total at this year's event. If you can help with sponsorship, call the surgery during office hours on 847000.
