GENEROUS fundraisers from the Warrington branch of the Arthritis Care charity are doing their bit to ease the pain of sufferers.
The team collected £500 to buy new equipment which was presented to Warrington Hospital's rheumatology department. The new kit includes several TENS machines which help manage pain, items for the occupational therapist to use in demonstrations to patients, and apparatus for use by the physiotherapists in treating the condition.
Much of the money, £367.71, was raised by a flag day at Morrisons Supermarket in April.
The branch meets on the third Tuesday of each month at St Benedict's Social Centre, Orford, and new members are welcome.
