TWO Curates will be subjected to a baptism of fire and water this weekend.
Reverends Chris Stafford and Mark Coleman will be putting themselves through a testing time in Saturday to raise funds for Warrington Parish Church, St John's Mission.
Rev Stafford will be doing his fire-eating act and Rev Coleman will be sitting in the stocks awaiting a hail of wet sponges.
They are just two features of a fun-packed day, starting at 11am, at the Grantham Avenue church which was the victim of an arson attack a year ago.
There will also be a drawing competition, many stalls, food and music.
Rev Coleman said: "We hope people will come along and have fun and support the work by community groups for the young and the old in the community."
