VILLAGERS in North Rode have a Post Office again after an absence of more than a month.
The village Post Office closed in mid-March, but reopened this week in a new location and with a new subpostmaster.
The Post Office was previously situated at Dobford Farm, but has moved a mile away to Oaklands, with Susan Bullock appointed as subpostmaster.
"I'm delighted we are now able to resume counter services in the village,'' said retail network manager Karen Walker.
"We did our best to avoid having to close the branch in March, but unfortunately until now were unable to find a suitable replacement for the previous subpostmaster.
"I'm sure our customers will be pleased the office is reopening, and will support Mrs Bullock in this new venture."
The Post Office is open from 9am to 5pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 9am to 12.30pm on Wednesdays and Sundays.
