MOSS Vale continue to press forward at the top of the Altrincham and District Sunday Football League with a convincing away win at second placed Lisbon by five goals to two.
Vale's main man was Jody Banim who scored four times and had the Lisbon defence running about in circles for most of the match.
Stacy Lewis was the other Vale scorer after Banim's good work on the ball provided him with an empty net from three yards .
Paul 'Fester' Wright said afterwards, "It was obvious from the start that my boys were up for this.
"I told them before the match that Lisbon were a very good team, and would not stop for 90 minutes."
He continued, "In my eyes, the first half performance, was tremendous, and the work rate they put in was second to none. I am very proud of each and every one of them.
Vale's next game is on Sunday against AFC Gardeners at Flixton FC,Valley Road, Flixton ko 11am.
