IN season 2001/02 Crosfields ARLFC will be having its centenary celebration.
Research has shown that Crosfields were playing rugby as long ago as the 1901/02 season in inter-works competitions.
In those early years, Crosfields twice won first place, and once second place in the Warrington Works competition.
More research is taking place with help from Unilever's historical archives department at Port Sunlight, in a bid to put a brochure together on the history of the club, but help from anyone associated with Crosfields throughout the years would be gratefully received.
If you can provide any information or copies of photographs contact either Colin Webb on 636432 or Tommy Rourke on 483237.
Alternatively the club can be e-mailed on OneHundredYears@CrosfieldsARLFC.freeserve.co.uk.
