IT was all about defence when Latchford restricted the Rylands B team to two tries in each half.
Five players were in double figures for the tackle count - Evans, McIntosh, Wilson, Yates-Dutton and top tackler Wykes, who was voted player of the match.
The strong running of Antell, Hewitt, Martin, Singleton, Southworth, Atherton and unsung hero Parrington, while not rewarded by tries, was appreciated by the crowd.

score on two occasions.
Latchford were developing their passing game and the final score did not reflect how close the match was.
Great running from Wykes, Parrington, Hewitt, Yates-Dutton, unsung hero Singleton and player of the match Martin was backed up by the strong defence of Wilson, Atherton, Antell and joint top tacklers Evans and McIntosh. Evans scored the try and Martin converted.

Pace was the biggest factor in Rylands' win with tries scored from all over the field.
Rylands' tries were scored by Duffy, two, Litherland, two and Dean. Duffy, Dean, Lee and Brear added the goals.
Cooper was top tackler, Litherland took the special award and James was player of the match.

LATCHFORD put in an excellent team display, impressing in spirit and in their support play.
The first set of six set the scene as Josh Wilkinson crossed for the opening try.
Further tries were scored by Mike Cooper and Billy Maunder before Wilkinson grabbed his second. Daz Hill also crossed before half-time.
More tries followed from Mike Linaker, Jono Smith and Cooper.
