WARRINGTON Town may still need nine points from their remaining four games away from home to secure promotion to North West Counties Division Two.
And three of those crucial games come in a five-day spell starting from today.
That is the points scenario if fast-climbing Atherton LR, coached by former Town boss Alan Lord, remain unbeaten for the rest of the season.
Town have not played this week as their match at Daisy Hill was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The clash with Daisy Hill has been rearranged for May 17 and will be Town's last outing of the season.
Alan Blair's men will be hoping to have a promotion slot in the bag by then by gaining maximum points from games at Bootle tonight, Thursday, kick-off 6.15pm; Blackpool Mechanics on Saturday, kick-off 3pm and at Nelson on Monday, kick-off 3pm.
Town go into their final spell lying in second spot in the second division, one point behind Nelson but with one game in hand.
Warrington's midfield maestro Dave Tickle will continue to be a key figure in Town's performances until the end of the season and his top displays during the campaign have already been rewarded with the supporters' player of the year award.
