A LIVE Music Night is being presented for charity by Sandbach Rotary Club.

In aid of the Jubilee Sailing Trust, a national charity, offering a chance for physically handicapped people to enjoy being part of the crew on a tall ship at sea, the concert starts at 7pm in Sandbach Girls' High School on Friday, October 5.

There will be a mixture of Dixieland and Big Band sounds, featuring local musicians The Dukes of Jazz and Wychcraft. Tickets are £8 in advance or £10 on the door, to include a cold buffet. A licensed bar will be available.

ANY youngster, boy or girl, who would like to participate in the Duke of Edinburgh's Gold Award Scheme, with Sandbach Air Training Corps at Squadron Headquarters in Flat Lane, Sandbach, must be over the age of 15 and should phone 760215 for the relevant information.

SANDBACH Town Council has a Finance and Planning meeting in The Mayor's Room, Congleton Borough Council Offices, Westfields, Middlewich Road tonight, Thursday, September 27 at 7.15pm.

FRIENDS of Guiding in Sandbach are holding a coffee morning in the town's library from 10am-12noon this Saturday, September 29. Admission is 50p.

A JUNIOR soccer course lasting one hour, starts at 8am in Sandbach Leisure Centre on Saturdays.

A junior trampoline course follows at 10am lasting one and a half hours. At 2pm on Saturdays, there is a Fun Swim until 4pm.

SANDBACH resident, John Gleave of Bradwall Road, has been honoured for his service to the local community, the armed forces and journalism.

AN event supported by Congleton Borough Council and Sandbach Town Council, takes place on Saturday, September 29, from 10am-3pm in Sandbach Town Hall.

It is Sandbach Today. Local organisations, clubs and groups in general, will meet to promote their respective activities and to increase membership.

The event will be officially opened by the mayor of Congleton Borough Council at 10.15am and admission is free to all.

A CHILDREN'S out-of-school club has been given the all clear by Congleton Borough Council's Planning Committee. An Enjoy Kids' Club will be started at Offley Road Junior School shortly, after plans were submitted and approved.

THE BAPTIST Church in Middlewich Road invites you all to attend Churches Together in Sandbach, on any or every evening from now until Sunday, September 30.

Tom Reston, former pastor of the South Tenerife Christian Fellowship, will be part of the weekend which will be a time of celebration and teaching.

Everyone is invited to listen to the Christian message in a direct and challenging way, join in Christian worship in a lively environment and join in the Christian fellowship on Saturday night, starting at 7.30pm, and again on Sunday at 10.30am and 6.30pm.

SANDBACH Ladies Association Choir sings in Wesley Avenue Church, at 7.30pm on Friday, October 5.

All proceeds will be donated to St Luke's Hospice. Tickets are £3.50 at the door.

IT'S PRIZE Bingo Night at the United Services Club in Bradwall Road on Friday, October 5.
