WE DO need a cinema in or near to the centre of Warrington, be it multiplex or whatever.
How about the imposing albeit disused Cheshire Lines building at the rear of Central Station. It stands in its own grounds and access to the site is quite easy for parking. Not everyone owns a car though, and this venue would encourage people to use public transport, as it is not far from either bus or train station. Another plus could be that it would possibly encourage car owners to use public transport, thus cutting down on traffic congestion.
I assume that it is a listed building, but if it is put to good use there should not be too many objections to a cinema or cinemas even inside this impressive structure as long as the outside fabric is untouched.
It is just an idea!
