PLANS for a £5.5 million recycling plant in Latchford have been given the go-ahead for the second time.
Alcan and Imco, two aluminium recycling giants, resubmitted the proposals to the borough council despite receiving permission for the plans back in June.
They decided to locate the furnace in the former premises of Alcoa - a move that should reduce the traffic problems that were of a concern to neighbours and local councillors.
The latest application was therefore agreed by officers without the need for it to be taken back before the development control committee.
