TWO of Warrington's most famous faces were among the 130 students honoured at Warrington Collegiate's eighth annual award ceremony.
Warrington Wolves coach Paul Cullen and best-selling author Pete McCarthy have been awarded fellowships of the institute. Paul Cullen accepted his fellowship in person, but as Pete McCarthy was away touring, his childhood friend David Whittle picked up the award on his behalf. It was the first ceremony for new principal Paul Hafren, who looked forward to future developments at the Collegiate. He said: "The new build proposals currently under way at the Winwick Road Campus and the special partnership fostered with Chester College of Higher Education will lead to the development of more higher education opportunities for the people of Warrington."
