Action always speaks louder than words and at last Warrington Wolves fans can believe their new stadium is on its way after contractors moved in to start digging up land this week at the southern end of the former Carlsberg-Tetley
brewery site.
One of Tesco's preferred developers, Barr Construction, will be building both the stadium and Tesco Extra store.
Glasgow-based Barr have vast experience in both fields and one of their latest sports projects was the building of Premiership football club Southampton's St Mary's Stadium.
