A MAN has appeared in court in connection with a carjacking offence in Appleton and a series of similar offences across the county.
Michael Champion, aged 34, from Blackpool, faces 10 charges following incidents in Warrington, Blackpool and St Helens during October.
Champion is charged with stealing car keys and a mobile phone from a woman on Bridge Lane, Appleton, and then subsequently stealing her Rover 214 car.
He is also charged with making threats to kill a man and stealing a Ford Mondeo during an incident in Blackpool on October 15, and the assault of a woman in St Helens and theft of her vehicle on October 16.
Champion faces other related charges, including driving without a licence and driving while disqualified.
He has been remanded in custody and will next appear in court on March 3.
